Do this, do that, right now, because I said so!!

That is not how a leader should approach any situation. In fact, that is a sure fire way to inspire those who follow you to hate you and to build animosity toward you.

The leader needs to understand those who follow him or her deeper than they even realize themselves.

The leader then needs to inspire and motivate and create a feedback loop.

That way they are always in the know of what's needed, what's working, and what morale looks like.

Once you build a group of people who are inspired to take action under you...

You'll establish a following of people who will go to the ends of the earth for you,

Because they believe in your vision and what you represent.

Leadership is about inspiring people to take action.
